General Announcements: Beltline Neighorhood Challenge 10k Race 12/1/2012

Beltline Neighorhood Challenge 10k Race 12/1/2012

Our Atlanta BeltLine Running Series is hosting a 10k RACE on Saturday, December 1st.  I’m reaching out to you as the Neighborhood Planning Unit Chair Person to invite you, and the neighborhood associations represented in your NPU to participate in the race.  We are inviting neighborhood groups to come out and either WALK, RUN or VOLUNTEER for a shot at a grand prize and bragging rights.  We host runs on various parts of the BeltLine throughout the year to support the annual commitment campaign for the Atlanta BeltLine Partnership, which supports programs vital to the success of the Atlanta BeltLine.
We will be recognizing neighborhood groups with the fastest team, the largest team, and the most spirited team at the 10K.  I’ve attached additional details about the neighborhood challenge and how you can form a team during registration.  We are also working with Atlanta Intown to highlight the winning teams, which could help with added visibility into the community regarding other events you might put on.
If you would like more information about the 10k on December 1st, the Race Director, Dan Popovic, would love to attend your next NPU or association meeting to answer question and/or work with a point of contact in getting the neighborhood setup.  Please let me know, and I will put you in contact with Dan.
We are excited about the possibility of your dynamic community participating in this event!
